PHYSICAL MARKETS

More than the materials we trade.

Coverage includes a separate watch space for Indian steel and scrap, coking coal, met coke, pet coke, ferroalloys and non-ferrous scrap.

Spot assessments need their own feed.

Prices for these markets are currently marked “Feed required”. A licensed physical-market feed must be connected before those prices can appear. Thermal coal is never used as a substitute for coking coal or coke.

SOURCE & METHODOLOGY

Know exactly what you are comparing.

01

One price, one basis.

Every available price identifies its market, currency, unit and reporting month. Iron ore uses USD per dry tonne for the modern spot series; base metals use USD per tonne.

02

Publication, not a trading tick.

The World Bank Pink Sheet publishes monthly averages. Automatic checks look for revisions and new months; the displayed reporting period changes only when the source changes.

03

Visible gaps. Preserved history.

Missing prices are shown without a number. If a source fails, the last successful dataset remains visible with its original dates and a warning. No indicative or sample prices are substituted.
